Daniel Raskin
Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Worker
Hello, I am Daniel Raskin. I am a student intern and an ARMHS worker at KESMA Flame Lily. I
am currently a graduate student at Wurzweiler School of Social Work pursuing a clinical
concentration and utilizing KESMA as my work placement. Most recently, I have worked as an
Independent Living Skills Worker in the metro area and have completed my undergraduate
degree in psychology at Excelsior College online. My experience in school and the field has led
me to a passion for helping individuals struggling with all types of mental health challenges live
their ideal lives.
I grew up in the western suburbs of Minneapolis and had a childhood mixed with fun and good
memories, and also certain struggles. When I was 8 years old, my mother lost her life to the
battle with depression. I have been trying to understand this horrible disease ever since which
influenced my path to where I am today.
I enjoy hanging out with friends, playing sports, ultimate frisbee being my favorite, playing the
drums, and going to school. When I finished high school at Hopkins High school, I started to
take interest in my Jewish heritage and have since then spent time in Israel and Rabbinic
colleges on the east coast. The wisdom and warmth I have absorbed inform and energize my
work with others. I would not be in the position I am today without the support of my family,
friends, and community
